It Is Normal to Have a Lot of Questions

Considering parenting after an unexpected pregnancy means sitting with many unknowns at once.

Will I be able to afford it?

Who can help me with childcare?

How does this change what I had planned for school or work?

What if people in my life react badly?

None of those questions has easy answers, and there is no shame in needing time to think them through. What helps is getting information about what support exists before you decide anything.

Our staff will listen to your specific situation, answer your questions, and help you identify available resources.

Finding the Right Support

Choosing to parent does not mean starting from zero. Our staff can connect you with local resources and referrals based on where you are right now, including:

  • Referrals to prenatal care providers
  • No-cost material resources and baby supplies
  • Community programs for housing, food, and financial assistance
  • Information on parenting education and local support groups

We have been a part of this community long enough to know who can actually help, and we will make sure you are pointed in the right direction.

A Note for Fathers

If the baby’s father is trying to figure out his role or looking for a place to start, he is welcome at our center as well. Co-parenting is healthy for both you and your child, and we want to support everyone involved in this pregnancy.

You Can Start Without All the Answers

Most people do not feel ready when they find out they are expecting. Readiness comes from having information and a plan, not from feeling certain.

Let us help you build that foundation and feel confident about your future.
